We have provisionally rescheduled it for June 2021 however, this will be dependent on advice given by the various authorities and any travel restrictions that may still be in place. We will review the situation continuously and keep members informed accordingly.
Despite the various challenges faced by Kudos members a number of regional meetings were held in the months leading up to most countries lockdowns. The first of the regional meetings took place in Dubai on 17 September 2019 for our Latin America members at the Hilton Garden Inn. Michael and Alun gave updates on the Network and technical updates, with a discussion on future developments for the Network. Each member firm present provided a short presentation on their practice and during the evening the members networked at a restaurant on the famous Ocean Drive.
The second regional meeting took place on 5 December 2019 at the Ballyliffin Lodge in Donegal, Ireland for our UK and Irish members. The event was hosted by local firm Crowe McLoughlin. Network and technical updates took place in the morning followed by round the table discussions on how we can improve the network from a practical viewpoint. A festive dinner at the hotel concluded the day.
The third regional meeting for the Middle and Far East Members was held at the Millenium Hotel in Dubai hosted by local firm Kudos PRS on 23 January 2020. This was a re-arranged meeting after Kudos was forced to cancel the scheduled meeting in November in Beirut, Lebanon due to the political unrest at that time. This meeting was not without it’s problems as Kudos Georgia were unable to travel at the last minute due to a potential political crisis between the USA and Iran that meant they were unable to fly over Iran to reach Dubai. This meeting welcomed new member firms Al-Salama Certified Public Accountants from Saudi Arabia and PMH Associates from India. A similar format was followed as in the two previous regional meetings concluding with a buffet dinner in the hotel.
